Collection Five
Wander
Every path begins with a step.
Wandering isn't about having a destination. It's about making room for curiosity, uncertainty, and the possibility that something unexpected is waiting just ahead. These photographs were made while moving through unfamiliar places, but the journey wasn't only across landscapes. It was also toward a different way of seeing the world—and myself.

On The Way
Wander
I remember feeling excited, but also strangely calm. There was something about that empty chair in the middle of the busy airport that felt like a bit of respite. Everything ahead of me was new and uncertain, but for that moment, there was somewhere to just sit. I like the reminder that it’s okay to be afraid and keep wandering anyway. And sometimes, continuing forward means sitting down for a minute. Taking a break doesn’t mean we’ve quit or changed our minds. Sometimes we just need a little more time before we’re ready to keep moving.
We were quite literally on the way - to Colorado, to a new adventure, to whatever came next. I had no idea yet what any of it would look like. On the Way just felt right.

Another
Wander
We weren't expecting to find a gathering of motorcycles that afternoon. It was an ordinary Wednesday, and yet there they were—people who had arrived from different places, on different bikes, all brought together by a shared love of the road.
What I remember most isn't the motorcycles themselves. It's the conversations they sparked and the reminder that wandering doesn't always mean covering more miles. Sometimes it means being open to the unexpected moments that quietly reshape the day.
There are countless ways to wander. Sometimes all it takes is saying yes to one more stop.
I chose Another because there is never just one way to wander. Sometimes it begins with a destination. Other times it begins with an unexpected stop, a conversation, or a reason to stay a little longer than planned. The title is a reminder that every journey has room for another road, another story, and another way of seeing the day.

Ahead
Wander
The fog never felt like something to get through. It made me wonder what was waiting just beyond the next bend.
For once, I wasn't worried about what I couldn't see. I was excited to find out.
I chose Ahead because the fog hid everything except the next stretch of road. It reminded me that we rarely need to see the entire journey to keep moving forward. Sometimes all we're given is the next few miles—and somehow, that's enough.

Changed
Wander
The way forward doesn't always change. Sometimes the way we see it does.
I chose Changed because the eclipse quietly transformed the landscape as I wandered through it. It reminded me that a journey isn't only shaped by where we go, but by what unfolds while we're there.

The Long Way
Wander
I've never been drawn to roads because they lead somewhere. I love them because they remind me I don't need to know what's around the bend to keep going.
I chose The Long Way because it leaves room for discovery.
The shortest route gets us where we're going. The long way reminds us to notice everything in between.

February
Wander
There's something about the beginning of a new chapter that makes me want to wander. Not because I'm searching for anything, but because it's my way of welcoming the unknown before it becomes familiar.
I chose February because sometimes a season of life says more than a place ever could. This photograph reminds me less of where I was, and more of what that moment was quietly preparing me for.

Passage
Wander
Some of the places that stay with me the longest are the ones I never expected to remember. I was only passing through, but somehow this little stop found a permanent place in my memory. It reminded me that not every meaningful place is somewhere we're meant to stay.
I chose Passage because this photograph isn't about arriving somewhere—it's about moving through a place that unexpectedly stayed with me. The road became a reminder that so much of life is lived in transition, and that some of our most meaningful memories are made while we're simply passing through.

Beyond the Meadow
Wander
The mountains have always drawn me in. Not because I know what's waiting beyond them, but because I don't.
Every trail, every ridge, and every bend in the road feels like a quiet invitation to keep exploring. I've learned that curiosity doesn't always ask for answers. Sometimes it simply asks us to take one more step.
I chose Beyond the Meadow because the meadow wasn't the story. It was the invitation. My eyes kept drifting beyond it, toward the mountains, reminding me that curiosity often begins just past what's right in front of us.

Cathedral of Pines
Wander
Sometimes the most meaningful paths are the ones that ask us to keep walking before we can see where they lead. I remember feeling both peaceful and uneasy. The fog made the forest feel mysterious, and for a moment I wasn't sure what waited ahead. Looking back, I don't think that uncertainty took anything away from the experience.
If anything, it became part of what made it meaningful.
Curiosity isn't the absence of uncertainty. Sometimes it's simply the willingness to keep walking anyway.
I chose Cathedral of Pines because the towering trees felt like the columns of a cathedral, creating a space that inspired both peace and quiet reverence. The title reflects the feeling the forest gave me more than the way it looked.
