Meet Bogey
A chapter from French Fest ‘26
I first noticed Bogey at a local festival. He had a calm, gentle presence that was hard to miss. After asking his owners if I could photograph him, they graciously trusted me with the opportunity.
Over the next little while, I found myself less interested in asking him to look at the camera and more interested in watching him simply be himself. Most of my favorite photographs weren't posed at all—they were the quiet moments in between.
I'm grateful to his owners for allowing me to share these photographs here.
Meet Bogey.
Maybe noticing is only part of it. Sometimes the best stories begin when you stop long enough to say hello. A special thank you to Bogey’s humans for letting me photograph him, and for allowing me to share a little piece of his story here.
Meet Bogey! Though his face and spots may win the attention of anyone who sees him, his incredibly sweet personality is what makes you love him. When he is not chasing his ball, looking out the window, or saying hello to anyone who will give him the time, he’s sitting on someone’s lap pretending he weighs 25 lbs less. He is truly the best boy.
